Tuesday (10/31) – “Spooky Tuesday“. Don’t miss Halloween Night, featuring Best Costume Prizes and loads of fun. Hometown favorites, The VI-Kings are the 60’s soundtrack of your life, return for their seventh performance at Bethesda Blues. The Deceivers Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Sean Chyun is a musical comet who performed with the VI-Kings for several years. 7:30pm
Wednesday (11/1) – Award-winning vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following through her original songs and her unique take on material from the New American songbook as well as classic standards by artists as varied as Pink Floyd and Duke Ellington, Dolly Parton and Johnny Mercer. 12 year old Jose Andre´ Montano will open for Gabrielle and he discovered his piano skills in a self taught way. In 2015 he received an invitation from The Kennedy Center of Performing Arts and from the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. 7:30pm
Thursday (11/2) – Hank Levy was privileged to have his former students to continue to want to play his music. Therefore, Hank Levy Jazz, LLC was created by Hank’s airs and estate. Hank’s music has attracted some of the best jazz musicians in the mid-Atlantic region to join the band. You can find recordings from the Legacy Band version of Whiplash on iTunes and Amazon. 8pm
Friday (11/3) – For 50 years Jesse Colin Young has been singing songs about peace, relationships and the environment. From his folk days in Boston and his first record, Soul of a City, he has articulated and recorded the tumultuous times of the 60s, 70s, 80s to the present, while reminding us that it is all about family, community and the precious natural world we live in. His musical style is now considered Americana, but in fact it’s his unique fusion of jazz, blues, folk and rock. 8pm
Sunday (11/5) – Selina Albright’s last name is associated with musical excellence. She is a soulful-songwriter with versatility that comes from years of listening to many origins and languages of music. Selina’s R&B/Soul 2013 release entitled “Brighter” topped the UK Soul Chart for four weeks. Her most recent release “Sun Comes Up” (2016) has outperformed all previous releases. Steve Cole is a Saxophonist and is one of the most celebrated players in contemporary jazz.
