**This Week at Bethesda Blues! Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Rock, 70’s and 80’s Music Brunch**

Monday (2/5) – Daryl Davis Presents a Black History Month concert that
presents some of the most legendary and soulful music artist in the
world who were born and /or lived in the Washington “Chocolate City,”
DC area. Critically acclaimed vocalist Cecily Bumbray will perform songs
by Chocolate City dwellers such as Duke Ellington, Marvin Gaye,
Eva Cassidy, Ruth Brown, Patsy Cline, Roberta Flack, Gil Scott Heron
and more. 7:30pm

Tuesday (2/6) – Hail Up! And Fasten your seatbelts. Prepare for an
electrifying journey to the Caribbean. I&I Riddim is Washington DC’s
Three Time award winning reggae band! The name captures the spirit
of this band’s music: “riddim” is reggae’s irresistable upbeat dance
rhythm, and “I&I” expresses Bob Marley’s “One Love” equality for all
people. Come out and enjoy a true Caribbean party experience
and celebrate Bob Marley’s birthday. 8:00pm

Thursday (2/8) – Thad Wilson’s music is best described in one word:
Authenic. He was was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, however his musical
life started as a child living in Montgomery, Alabama. At the age of 12
neighbors could see and hear him on his front lawn practicing his
trumpet. Thad has toured the world and played with some of the
best in the business. He is a composer and teaches Jazz Studies at
George Washington University. Russell Malone is one of the
most signature guitar players of our time. 8:00pm

Friday, (2/9) – Daryl Davis Presents: Thanks For The Memories
2017. A Tribute to the musicians we lost in 2017 and a celebration
of their music. With each passing year, we mark the passing of
musicians whose music has touched our souls. 2017 was an especially
sad year as many more legendary icons played their swan songs
than in years past. We bid farewell to Al Jarreau, Tom Petty, Chuck
Berry. Walter Becker, Gregg Allman to name a few. 8:00pm.

Sunday, (2/11) Brunch – Join WPFW’s Ida Campbell and Bethesda Blues
for a Pre-Valentine Brunch…featuring Live Musical Tribute to the sounds
of the 70’s & 80’s. $65.00 for Food and Show. 1:00pm

Sunday, (2/11) – Keith “Showtime” Busey and Bethesda Blues present
3 of the DMV’s most talented acts. DJ Fresh, The exciting and
soulful sounds of J’Dore and the dynamic vocals of Michael Muse.
