**This Week at BBJ: Experience an Evening of Jazz and R&B at Bethesda Blues**

Tuesday (11/7) – Come commiserate with Seth and his friends as they celebrate the release of this record performance. Seth Kibel brand-new album Snark & Despair consist of original tunes featuring talented guest artist, progressive political commentary, dark humor, and much-needed musical therapy for these strange and trying times. The songs on this album traverse a wide landscape of musical styles, including blues, swing, klezmer, bossa nova, reggae and more. 8:00pm
Wednesday (11/8) – Known for his touch, versatility and musical approach, jazz drummer,Steve Fidyk has earned national and international acclaim as an artist, author and columnist. With his second album as a bandleader, aptly titled Allied Forces, Fidyk has gathered together a powerful lineup and has succeeded in pushing his hard hitting melodic message to the front lines. Thursday (11/9) – Berklee College of Music graduate Jeanette Harris is the new female saxophonist who is making big strives. Her CD “Summer Rain” made it all the way to #4 on the Smooth Jazz Billboard Chart and #1 on the Smooth Jazz Indie Chart! Jeanette’s new CD Chocolate Vibez is her best work yet, showcasing not only her amazing sax skills but also her song writing and producing skills as well. Jeanette toured with the late Teena Marie. Joining her on this evening is Jazz Singer Tracy Hamlin8:00pm
Friday (11/10) – The Ella Century!!! Ann Hampton Callaway..superbly intelligent, singular creative pop-jazz stylist who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Streisand, Ronstadt, Shirley Horn, and Dianne Reeves. Ann has an exciting show celebrating Ella Fitzgerald’s centennial year. Callaway explores the breadth of Ella Fitzgerald repertoire in a show titled “The Ella Century” including fresh takes on classics such as, How High the Moon,” “Mr. Paganini, and “Every Time We Say Goodby.”  8:00pm
 
Saturday (11/11) – Conya Doss has prevailed for 15 years as a top female vocalist, garnering accolades from USA Today, Vibe, Billboard, Complex Magazine, BET, Soul Train and more. Her recipe for good music-making has led to the receipt of the Soultrack’s best female Vocalist. With a vocal stule that has been heavily influenced   by Nina Simone, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Rait and Angela Winbush. Conya’s vocals weaves the sounds of yesteryears with thought-induced messages. 8:00pm
Sunday (11/12) – Brian Blade has set those words to music for his recordings as a singer, guitarist and songwriter. Mama Rosas a revealing journey though thirteen songs about family, loved ones, travels and a sense that these things that shape and inspire us have to be shared with others to complete a circle. He has been writing and recording material with words for as long as he’s been making music. Join Brian and the Fellowship Band for a beautiful evening of Jazz. 7:30pm
