This Week at BBJ! Elvis, T.K. Blue, Alan Scott, 76 West Band, The VI-Kings! Leonard, Coleman, Blunt to celebrate MLK’s Birthday!!

Monday (1/8) – Jesse Garron  possesses the voice, looks and charisma that made Elvis a superstar and draws audiences in from the minute he walks on stage. Jesse, backed by live musicians and female vocalist, performs songs that cross three generations of rock, pop, gospel and oldies music, so the act has universal appeal. The Vegas-style rendition is a consistent fan favorite that has earned a reputation for professionalism as well as countless standing ovations.  8:00pm
Wednesday (1/10) – The T.K. Quintet will be joined by Special Guests, Vocalist Aisha Kahli l from Sweet Honey in the Rock and star vibraphonist Warren Wolf. T.K. is a musician of the highest caliber who is at the peak of his creative output. Mr. Blues artistry is found on over eighty recordings and has performed with a long list of great international artist.

Thursday (1/11) – Alan Scott‘s sound is a combination of driving, danceable Rock combined with time-honored Blues, Funk and Brit Pop influences.  His songs have been played on Voice of America, 98 Rick, DC 101 and featured on MTV Series “Celebrity: Undercover”. His newest CD ” Wake Up Your Stereo” is available on iTunes. Covered with Jam is DC’s all-star theme show jam band collective and is known for their heavy funk grooves, swooping dynamics and amazing collaborations. 8 :00pm
Friday (1/12) – Get ready for the DMV-based jazz-funk of 76 Degrees West Band! The group has worked with acts such as “Jamaica Funk” Tom Brown, Sax Man Jimmy Sommers, GRAMMY Award-Winner Gordan Chambers, Eric Darius, Raheem DeVaughn and more. The bands’s 1st single was an instrumental remake of AWB’s “School Boy Crush,” which made it onto Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart and was a radio request worldwide.8:00pm
Saturday (1/13) – The VI-Kings “Voices of a Generation Show.” Dylan, McCartney, Lennon, Aretha, Slick, Fogarty, Davies, Petula, Jagger, Carole, Pickett…the list is endless. The music of the 1960’s is the soundtrack of our lives. Over the course of a couple of hours, you’ll hear over 45 three minute masterpieces, painstakingly assembled by The VI-Kings and featuring six leader singers covering all styles of this fabulous era. 8:00pm
Sunday (1/14) – Come Celebrate Martin Luther’s King’s Birthday with Three former leader singers from three of the World’s renowned vocal groups…which collectively have sold over 100 million records.”The Temptations”, “The Platters”, and “The Drifters” have come together to create the ultimate musical experience, “Leonard, Coleman and Blunt.” – 7:30pm
