This Week at BBJ: CoCo Montoya + Vintage #18, Dexter Wansel, Roy Buchanan Tribute & More!!

Wednesday (9/27) –  Guitar One Magazine calls guitarist/vocalist CoCo Montoya “the hottest southpaw in the blues. “Stratocaster-fueled, fierce slash-and-guitar work…dramatic, smoldering South soul-rooted intensity. Montoya’s voice is as expressive as his guitar.” – Washington Post!!! His special guest for the evening will be the talented Vintage #18. 8:00pm 
Friday (9/29) – Live performances from Dexter Wansel and The Sounds of Philadelphia.  The GRAMMY Award winning producer will perform some of his music such as “Life on Mars” and “The Sweetest Pain”. He will also perform music from artist he collaborated with such as Patti Labelle “If Only You Knew,” Teddy Pendergrass “Love TKO” and more. 8:00pm
Saturday (9/30) – This tribute to revered Washington, DC based and world renowned Roy Buchanan brings together musicians from all over the country who played and recorded with Roy during his career and were inspired by him. This event is hosted by WPFW’s Emcee Bill Waxx and you’ll be able to spot Billy Price who played and recorded with Roy on stage as well. 8pm

Sunday (10/1) – Briclyn Entertainment invites you to the 3rd Annual Pink Alive Breast Cancer Awareness concert featuring GRAMMY Nominated Artist Maimouna Youssef, The Amours, Conscience Media and Victoria Skie. This will be an evening of musical healing. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. 5:30pm
