Monday (2/8) Daryl Davis presents consummate musician and entertainer, Shirleta Settles. Equally at home with Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Soul and R&B, she sells out venues not only for her powerful vocal stylings, but also because she keeps her audience and active part of the part of the show. It’s a party wherever she goes! Come out for the great performance, stay for the dancing and drinks – ½ off select bottles of wine. Our host will be master piano player Daryl Davis, who has worked with Elvis Presley’s Jordanaires, Chuck Berry, The Legendary Blues Band, Percy Sledge, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Coasters, The Platters, The Drifters, and others. Admission is FREE with only a $10 minimum for food and beverages per guest. Doors open at 5:30pm and the show begins at 7:30pm.
Tuesday (2/9) We have a very special edition of our weekly event, The Jam with Gary Grainger and Friends. As always, we invite musicians and singers to get up and jam with the band, but this time in light of his recent passing, we will feature the music of Maurice White and Earth, Wind, & Fire. Bring your voice and your musical instruments, and share the stage with some of the nation’s most talented performers. Brandon Combs and friends host the show. Doors open at 6pm and The Jam gets going at 8pm.
Wednesday (2/10) Rock out with Tim Reynolds, Mick Vaughn, and Dan Martier – otherwise known as TR3! Tim Reynolds’ music is technically brilliant and emotionally honest. He founded the breakthrough electric power trio in the mid-1980s in Charlottesville, VA. As they became known for their fusion of funk, rock, and jazz, Reynolds befriended Dave Matthews and an ongoing musical collaboration began. Still Reynolds hit the road as a solo guitar wizard, proving himself as one of the most talented and thoughtful musicians on the circuit today. In 2009, TR3’s first studio CD, Radiance, was nominated for Home Grown Music Network’s Album of the Year, and their first double live CD, From SPACE and Beyond, emerged in June 2011. Their show is a mix of updated Reynolds’ classics, new material, and wild covers of artists including James Brown, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson and Focus. Reynolds is currently lead guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band and performs as one-half of the acoustic Dave Matthews-Tim Reynolds duo. The show starts at 8pm.
